My two latest articles on HubPages are Controversy sells and Conspiracies 'R' us. I didn't see the two as being similar when I first wrote them. However, I can see how some use conspiracies to create controversy to get more traffic to their hubs; whether they believe in what they are saying or not.
Do you write articles or blog posts on subjects you don't truly believe in just to get traffic?

nope ... I have things to say aimed at the intelligent, interesting, complex reader, photographer, artist, philosopher, poet, wanderer across my pages ...
traffic to my writing, to my blog, my articles and art is a bonus ... interested traffic is my aim.
i think the controversy /conspiracies you speak of is short term - the intelligent reader/writer will tire of it soon enough ... i aim to still be there long after that - i am not alone here ... i read many bloggers just like me ...
